Updated 7 October 2026

Essential storage only

This website uses cookies and similar browser storage for the functions described below. It does not load analytics, advertising pixels, social-media trackers or embedded maps. Essential storage supports the service you request; the notice does not ask you to agree to advertising or analytics.

Storage used by the GD Machinery application
Name and type	Purpose	Duration
`gd-collection-draft` Local storage	Remembers part numbers and quantities in your collection basket on this browser.	Until the basket is submitted or emptied, or you clear this site’s browser data. This item has no automatic expiry.
`gd-cookie-notice-v1` Local storage	Records that you have seen the essential-storage notice. Contains its version and acknowledgement date; it is not a tracking identifier.	Valid for 180 days. After that the notice appears again. The old entry is replaced when you continue or removed if you clear browser data.
`__Host-gd_flow` Secure, HTTP-only cookie	Protects Google staff sign-in from forged login requests. Used only when staff start signing in.	Up to 10 minutes; cleared after the sign-in callback.
`__Host-gd_staff` Secure, HTTP-only cookie	Keeps an approved member of staff signed in.	Up to 8 hours; cleared when staff sign out.

Your controls

You can reopen the notice using Cookie settings in the footer. Optional tracking is not enabled, so there are no optional cookie categories to accept or reject. Continuing simply dismisses the notice. You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings; deleting essential storage may clear your basket or sign you out.

External services

Following a supplier link or choosing Google sign-in takes you to an external service with its own privacy and cookie information.

If our use changes

If optional analytics or advertising is introduced, we will update this policy and ask for a separate choice before it is loaded. Dismissing the current notice does not give permission for future tracking.
